As a Teladoc Customer Service Representative, you’ll enjoy flexible scheduling, where you use a self-scheduling platform to select when you work and when you don’t.

Pay and Perks

This customer service role starts at $10 per hour. Independent contractors that service 30+ hours in a week will earn an additional $1 per hour for that week, increasing their earnings to $11/hour.

Plus, your remote, independent contractor status allows you to work in the comfort of your own home – or anywhere in the US you can meet the office requirements.

You’ll enjoy significant savings in expenses related to transportation, clothing, childcare or eldercare, and food. You may also qualify for home office tax deductions, but you should consult with an accountant to determine eligibility. In addition, you’ll be eligible for a $350 certification bonus and receive:

  • One-on-one mentorship
  • Free certification and ongoing development opportunities
  • The freedom and flexibility to choose your own schedule, within the client’s hours of operation
  • The chance to achieve better work-life balance

You’ll also be able to take advantage of NexRep Perks, a program that recognizes the service provided by independent contractors to NexRep’s clients and their customers via the NexRep Marketplace platform. With the NexRep Perks program, you’ll have the opportunity to earn Perks points. As those points add up, you’ll unlock access to Perks – exclusive discounts and savings on a variety of common expenses such as health and dental coverages, banking services, legal and technical support, and more!

Please note that NexRep is connecting independent contractors to exclusive discounts and savings opportunities and is not providing employee benefits nor establishing an employee benefit program. Each independent contractor makes their own decision whether to engage with a Perks Partner. NexRep receives no compensation in any form from the Perks Program.

Frequently Asked Questions

Independent Contractor Relationship

An independent contractor (also known as 1099 contractor) provides services established in a contract that address both the contractor’s terms and preferences, and the company’s/client’s requirements. Unlike traditional employees, or W2 employees, independent contractors do not work regularly for an employer, but work on their own schedule and as required. That’s why independent contractors are responsible to pay their own taxes, versus having taxes withdrawn from a regular paycheck.

In the NexRep Marketplace, we use independent contractors to maximize flexibility for both the contractor and our client, while also providing a better work-life balance for the contractor. On average, most Marketplace contractors service between 20-30 hours per week, but ultimately, how much time you put in is up to you.

NexRep only contracts with people in the United States. Independent contractor status is governed by state laws and these laws vary substantially by state. At this time, NexRep chooses to only contract with independent contractors in certain states for business reasons.

States we contract in at this time include: AL, AK, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, and WY.

States we do not contract in at this time include: AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, IL, MA, MD, ME, MO, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, WA, and WI.

Yes! If you’re travelling within the United States, you can still provide services if:

  • You have access to a quiet, distraction-free workspace
  • You have access to hard-wired, high-speed Internet
  • You have access to your computer, dual monitors, and noise cancelling headset

If your contract with the NexRep Marketplace has lapsed, or if your prior Independent Contractor Agreement was terminated, you may be eligible to register after a six-month waiting period. However, if there was a breach of contract, meaning you did not satisfy the terms of your agreement, you would not be eligible for future opportunities.

Our clients determine the criteria required for an opportunity, and as you might expect, not everyone is a good fit for every opportunity. However, you’ll remain registered with the NexRep Marketplace, and if there’s a good match between your background and a future opportunity, we’ll have the information we need to reach out to you.

NexRep is a Marketplace Platform connecting US-based contact center professionals with third-party clients. Since our founding in 2009, our mission has been to positively transform people’s lives by providing opportunities that promote a better quality of life. We believe that happier agents will be more engaged during customer interactions and deliver exceptional customer experiences. And when customers are delighted, our clients are, too.
